Two terror suspects were in US legally: official

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Two Yemenis arrested by Dutch police for a possible terror plot were in the United States legally before they boarded a flight to Amsterdam, a senior US intelligence official said Tuesday.

US officers take up posts at Paris airport

PARIS – American officers are taking up posts at Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport to help identify potential terrorists or other high-risk passengers heading to the United States.

2011 APEC meeting rated special security event

HONOLULU – Next year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation conference in Honolulu has been designated a national special security event by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
